About this event
The Friends Room. Ages 2 - 12 Children will explore real and pretend medical equipment in a fun, non-threatening environment by caring for their own stuffed animal or doll. The goal is to normalize healthcare experiences, reduce anxiety, encourage questions, and build coping skills through hands-on play. Information regarding preparing children for medical visits and procedures will also be available for parents and caregivers. This program is presented by certified child life specialist Stacey Malcolm, MS, CCLS. Held in the Friends Room. No registration is required.
