Teacher-Led Gathering with Dennis Warren

We invite you to join us Sunday, October 25, 2026 4-6 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 120 East J Street, Benicia. Our Teacher Dennis Warren will be giving an in-person Dharma talk on the topic “The Factor Animating Choice and Karma” Choice plays a pivotal role in the architecture of Buddhist practice. Yet, curiously, the Pali Canon – the vast record of the Historical Buddha’s psychology, teachings and methods – contains no word or phrase equivalent to our conventional sense of “choice.” If choice is not the true axis of decision-making, then what is? What might this reveal about the nature of skillful decision making and how it can be embodied in practice and life?” The structure of this gathering is a 30-minute meditation, followed by a 20-minute tea and social period, concluding with a dharma talk (teachings) and Q and A.
