Teacher Appreciation Weekend

Join us on May 16th & 17th for Teacher Appreciation Weekend! For their dedication and all they are doing to adapt to the reality we now live in, we offer free admission to all teachers of public, private, and charter schools visiting the museum on Teacher Appreciation Weekend. All guests will get one chance to enter to win special Door Prizes; teachers get two chances! The Pump Car will also be available for rides on Sunday, May 17, weather permitting. You have seen them in cartoons and old movies. Perhaps imagined yourself working the see-saw motion of that handle. Well, now you can as you operate our vintage pump car. Pull it up… push it down… and make the wheels go ’round and ’round. You will ride along under the watchful eye of one of our qualified operators on a dedicated section of track. We are open from 9:30AM-4:30PM; the last trolley ride departs the Visitors Center at 3:45PM. We look forward to seeing you all and thanking our precious teachers!
