Diego Lanau and Alejandra Saravia teach tango in Berkeley! This is a series of four classes, Wednesdays, starting September 2nd. Tango is an improvisational dance based on connection and communication. Diego and Alejandra teach the dance techniques that make communication possible! These classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people. Wednesdays: Sept 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 6:45 pm: check-in 7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango series 8:00-8:30 pm practica 8:30-9:30 pm intermediate tango series 9:30-10:00 pm practica The intermediate series is geared towards people who have been dancing tango for about three months (12 tango classes). The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! $80 general admission (all four classes, beg. or int.) $25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.) $15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.) $40 both classes in one evening (one person) We accept cash and venmo at the door. Join us for both! Berkeley City Club 2315 Durant Ave. Berkeley, CA 94704 As of now, September 2nd is scheduled for the drawing room, and the other dates are scheduled for the ballroom. The room reservation may change. We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART.
