About this event

Before we gather to celebrate Día de los Muertos 2026 in November, take an afternoon to discover the meaning behind the marigolds, the ofrendas, and the sugar skulls. Join Professor Martha Ramirez-Oropeza for a talk and workshop exploring the roots of one of Mexico’s most beloved traditions. From its Indigenous origins to the vibrant celebrations of today, you’ll learn how Día de los Muertos became a joyful way to remember and honor those who came before us.
