About this event
Adults. Registration preferred. Come discuss The Automat with us on Tuesday, October 20th! The Automat tells the 100-year story of Horn & Hardart, the iconic American restaurant chain famous for its coin-operated vending machines that served affordable food and coffee behind small glass windows. The film highlights how these communal, Art Deco dining spaces served as egalitarian melting pots welcoming diverse social classes, immigrants, and working-class diners.
