About this event
**intro/beg** **Instructor: Colin** **$60 per student** Sign up at [danceviscount.com](https://www.danceviscount.com/dance-workshops-portland) to attend! This workshop is a 3-hr introduction to Lindy Hop, a unique American art form originating in New York City during the Harlem Renaissance. This dance evolved with the exciting swing music of the 1920s and 30s, born on the dance floor as folks responded to the new swinging rhythm. This Quick-Start includes the same content as Vintage Swing 1 in a convenient weekend format. You might choose this option if the weekly class time doesn’t work for you, if you have some prior social dance experience, if you are just looking for a refresher, or if you want to learn the opposite dance role.
