Part 2 of our 3-part Sustainable Living Series! Saving seeds is an easy way to support biodiversity, strengthen local food systems, and become a more self-reliant gardener. Join us for an introduction to seed saving and learn how to collect and preserve seeds for future harvests and community sharing. In honor of City of Forest Day, we'll also spend some time talking about collecting tree seeds to grow saplings! Brooklyn Library presenter gil lopez is an environmental educator, community organizer and artists focused on sustainable urban development, equitable land use, waste reduction, and community-led environmental initiatives throughout New York City.
