Part 3 of our 3-part Sustainable Living Series! Take a deep dive into the ecological services that our urban trees provide for all of us and how to give them care in return. From increasing the health of the living soil food-web tree rely on, removing litter and loosening the soil so it can absorb more water. These lessons can be taken home and applied to any street tree in NYC, including in front your home, school, library, workplace and beyond. Brooklyn Library presenter gil lopez is an environmental educator, community organizer and artists focused on sustainable urban development, equitable land use, waste reduction, and community-led environmental initiatives throughout New York City.
