@ Arcadia, Oklahoma — August 13, 2026 — The Arcadia Round Barn will welcome acclaimed Oklahoma singer-songwriter Susan Herndon for a free Elm Tree Concert on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. For more than a decade, Herndon has shared her music with audiences throughout Oklahoma, Texas, the American heartland and Europe. Born in St. Louis, raised in Tulsa and deeply rooted in Oklahoma, her musical journey began while living in southern France, where she busked for francs on the streets of Pau in the Pyrenees. Herndon is a true troubadour whose music crosses genres, blending elements of country, blues, folk, jazz, pop and indie rock. With 13 albums to her credit, she has developed a distinctive musical style that reflects both her Oklahoma roots and her worldly experiences. Herndon has also collaborated with notable musicians including Texas legend Lloyd Maines and has been a longtime supporter of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival through her WOW—Women of WoodyFest—Fundraiser and Roadshows. Her music often explores universal themes of home, family, memories, dreams and the journey of life. Herndon says, “Music really is our universal language,” and her performances demonstrate that belief with warmth, humor and heartfelt songwriting. The concert will take place beneath the historic elm tree at the Arcadia Round Barn, located on historic Route 66. Admission is free, and donations are welcomed.
