About this event
Some of the greatest music in the universal jazz library has been created when two "jazz giants" joined their creative spirits in a collective effort. Artists such as Miles Davis and Gil Evans, Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan, Michael and Randy Brecker, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker and others have given us legendary performances and original compositions that have been performed for decades by artists all over the world. On October 7th the 19-piece Superstition Jazz Orchestra (SJO) will present many of these tunes, arranged by Mike Crotty in a new and unique way, featuring some of the ensemble's fine soloists. Please join the SJO for an evening of big band jazz that promises to be both enriching and very entertaining. 1/2 price Student tickets are available in the Tables & Banquettes sections.
