Sunday Burro Hike - Picacho via St John's

AFTER ALL THE WEATHER EXCITEMENT LAST NIGHT, IT'S LOOKING LIKE DRY SKIES AT LEAST UNTIL EARLY AFTERNOON TODAY. I'M GAME TO HIKE WITH YOU ALL, OPEN TO SWITCHING ROUTE TO SOMEPLACE LIKE SIERRA DEL NORTE IF WE WANT EASIER SHORTENING OF HIKE, BUT TRAIL ROUTE PLANNED SHOULD ALLOW FOR THIS TO SOME DEGREE AS WELL. WE CAN DECIDE TOGETHER AT MALL. I HOPE TO SEE MANY OF MY BURRO BUDS SOON :) Linda D is our Route Leader for this hike; our Thanks to Linda for stepping up & offering to be Lead, as I was expecting to still be in Utah.... However, I'm back early, as it "rained on our parade," so to speak, so here I am, back in Santa Fe today, wanting very much to re-connect with my Burro Buds & hike with as many of you as are available & want to! So, please join me & Linda at the mall at 9:00 on Sunday, I'd love to see you, get my "fix" of Burro Love & Care from as many of you as I can! This hike is weather dependent, if it's raining steady with prediction to continue in the morning before we gather, I will cancel hike, so stay posted to this Site Sunday morning, just in case. Fingers Crossed that this won't be the case :) Burro Hikes are for experienced hikers, most of our hikes are moderate in difficulty (by our standards), usually on designated trails, typically 4-6 miles in distance unless otherwise specified. Non-aggressive, well-mannered dogs are welcome on all my hikes (unless otherwise specified, some locations prohibit dogs). Newcomers are welcome on all my hikes; I ask that newcomers please test your fitness for my Group by timing yourself hiking up and down Atalaya, which you should be able to do comfortably in 3 1/2 hours or less (starting from Wilderness Gate or staircase, using Steep Route option).
