Director’s Choice – School of Rock Summer 2026 Show Season Get ready for one of the most exciting and unpredictable shows of the year: Director’s Choice. This season puts full creative power in the hands of our expert Show Directors, who build each setlist from the ground up based on the unique talents and personalities of their cast. No two shows are ever the same, and every performance is crafted to let each student shine. From the grooves of the ’60s to the anthems of the 2000s, Director’s Choice takes audiences through the full spectrum of rock and roll with a dynamic mix of classic rock, pop hits, hard rock, and metal. Whether you’re stepping on stage for the first time or leveling up as a seasoned performer, this show is all about growth, collaboration, and discovering what you’re capable of as a musician. This season wraps with a full weekend of performances in both Mandeville and New Orleans. Students from the Northshore and Metairie schools will perform at both locations, giving them multiple shows, bigger audiences, and a true touring‑style experience.
