Fun, sensory art play for big feelings, early learning, motor skills, & emotional awareness! Age 2-5 Ongoing: Every Wednesday, 10:30am - 11:30am, until May 27. $25. (Check our classes page for similar sessions for other age groups!) Attendees must pre-register through this link: https://www.catalystartscollaborative.com/service-page/story-sensory-art-age-2-5-wed-10-30a This process-art and sensory exploration class is designed to help our youngest creators (and their grown-ups) navigate the world and big emotions through play. Each session begins with a curated storybook time that centers on a specific feeling or sensory experience, followed by a hands-on discovery station where children engage with various textures/multimedia materials, body movement, and gentle acoustic rhythms. Rather than focusing on a finished "product,β we prioritize the process, encouraging curiosity, fine motor development, and co-regulation between caregiver and child. Itβs a messy, joyful space where "oops" is celebrated and every sensory discovery is a win. Example class themes: \- Soft & Quiet \(Textiles and pastels\) \- Bold & Brave \(Primary colors and large\-scale finger painting\) \- Sticky & Silly \(Collage and mixed media\) \- Calm & Cool \(Watercolors and light\-play\) All supplies will be provided by Catalyst or your instructor. Please bring the following with you: A change of clothes for the child (or an oversized t-shirt/smock) About your instructor: Kylie Castellaw is a multimedia artist (BFA), cognitive specialist (MS Cognitive Psychology), and author dedicated to the intersection of creativity and wellbeing. As a parent of young children (and a struggler of balance-finding), Kylieβs work is deeply personal. She believes that creativity and somatic intelligence are fundamental life skills for the 21st century. Her goal is to help the next generation (and their parents) build resilient, inspired lives. **Ages 2-5β¦
