Bradley C. Walters Community room on the ground floor. Learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly to control it with 3 different techniques. After a brief lecture, BMRC instructors will teach participants these hands-on skills in small groups, using manikins and special materials. You will practice (1) applying direct pressure, (2) packing a wound, and (3) applying a tourniquet. Taught by Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps (BMRC), a volunteer organization of EMTs on the UC Berkeley campus.
