## Details The 2026 autumnal equinox for [Stone Mountain, Georgia](https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/@4224746) occurs on Tuesday, September 22, at 8:05 PM EDT. **Trail Description:** Meet at the walk-up trailhead (Historical and Environmental Education Center) near the bathrooms in Stone Mountain Park. To enter Stone Mountain Park, there is a parking fee ($20 for one visit and $40 for a year pass). Arrive early if you need to purchase a pass. **If anyone wants to carpool, use the comments below to coordinate with each other.** Sometimes people park outside the Park and ride in together. **IMPORTANT:** This trail has some elevation. Expect the distance to be about 2 miles (up and down). **Difficulty Level** Moderate (rock surface trail, includes elevation gain). **Distance:** 2+ Miles **Estimated Duration:** 2-hours **Pace:** Moderate, 2-2.5 mph.
