Hot dogs get a bad rap. For as long as I can remember, people have told me, without the slightest hint of sarcasm, that hot dogs are made of anything from slaughterhouse floor sweepings to pig anuses. I think these people feel a sort of religious guilt when they eat hot dogs. They want so badly for hot dogs to be something immoral or grotesque so that they can self-flagellate about the base primal pleasure they get from guzzling glizzy. If these people were senators, they'd make hot dogs illegal, and then the next day they'd be photographed feedin' on a frankfurter in one of our nations seediest illegal hot dog dens. Lets enjoy the freedom of an all American hot dog at Steve's Hot Dogs, while we still can.
