About this event
Join Stephentown Typewriter Co.’s Scott Connors for an engaging look at the history of the typewriter and its continuing resurgence. An avid collector, preservationist, and seller of typewriters, Scott will share the story of how these remarkable machines transformed communication and writing, along with the personal journey that led to a passion for collecting and preserving them. The presentation will also explore why typewriters are experiencing a renewed popularity today, what makes these machines so appealing to a new generation, and what prospective buyers should know before purchasing one. Several interesting machines from the personal collection will be brought for attendees to examine up close, including one signed by Tom Hanks!
