About this event
William Jeanes Community Room. This month, children in grades 1-5 will take on the role of aerospace engineers, challenged to design and build a functional helicopter powered by elastic energy. Their mission is to assist the local hospital by creating a prototype that can successfully lift off and travel a short distance to simulate emergency patient transport. Along the way, children will explore concepts such as lift, torque, energy transfer, and rotor dynamics—while racing to deliver a safe and innovative solution to the hospital's urgent medical needs. Registration is required.
