About this event
Story Time Room. (Ages 6-9) Amelia Earhart was an adventure loving kid who grew up in Kansas and worked hard to learn how to fly at a time when many people didn't think women should become pilots. Amelia went on to become the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1928. For the first half hour, we will be discussing the books. An activity will be planned for the second half of the hour, based on our reading material. Register online beginning Thursday, September 17. The first 12 registrants will receive a free copy of the book.
