About this event
Students in grades K-2 are invited to explore Nordic handcraft in the monthly Starting with Slöjd program. This month’s focus is embroidery. Starting with Slöjd is a monthly program for early elementary students. Participants explore new tools, materials, and skills that prepare them for a lifelong love of handcraft. Stitch and sew using one of Sweden’s most iconic symbols as inspiration! Students will learn beginner embroidery and sewing skills on felt with Anna Ruhland. Students will use these skills to create their own Dala Horse decoration. Additional information: These are drop-off programs. Adults may not accompany children during this program.
