🏖️ Sketch in the Sand Cherry Creek Reservoir Meetup Vibe: ☀️ Sunny, relaxed, creative, and lakeside Description: Grab your sketchbook, beach chair, and plenty of water for a laid-back creative meetup at Cherry Creek Reservoir! We’ll gather on the sandy beach in front of the large gazebo on the east side of the reservoir. From there, everyone can settle into a comfortable spot, enjoy the lake views, and create at their own pace. Sketch the water, gazebo, trees, beach activity, boats, people, or anything else that catches your eye. You’re also welcome to work on your own project while enjoying the scenery and company. This is an open, beginner-friendly meetup with no formal lesson and no pressure to create a finished piece. Come to relax, practice, meet other creative people, and enjoy a summer day by the lake. 📍 Where We’ll Meet We’ll meet on the sand directly in front of the large gazebo on the east side of Cherry Creek Reservoir. Look for the Wandering Sketchbook group near the gazebo. I’ll share additional location guidance in the event comments if needed. 🎨 What to Expect * Relaxed, open sketch time * Beautiful lake and beach views * A casual and welcoming atmosphere * Plenty of possible subjects to draw or paint * Time to create, chat, and enjoy the outdoors * No instruction or experience required 🧺 What to Bring * Your preferred art supplies * Sketchbook, watercolor paper, canvas, or another portable surface * Beach chair, folding chair, or towel * Umbrella or another source of shade * Plenty of drinking water * Sun hat and sunglasses * Sunscreen * Snacks or lunch * Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather Please keep your setup portable since we’ll be gathering directly on the sand rather than around tables. ☀️ Helpful Notes There may be limited natural shade on the beach, so an umbrella, sunshade, or wide-brimmed hat is strongly recommended.
