Standup Comedy: A 4 part Workshop series. Wednesdays, October 21, 28, November 11 and 18. Whether you're a seasoned professional or completely new to stand up, there's something in the 4 week course for you! Each week will include a short lecture portion and group activities on the following topics: Week 1 Finding Your Comedic Voice Week 2 Building Your Structure Week 3 Constructing Your Punchlines Week 4 Working it out Each class will begin with reviewing the daily writing prompts assigned the previous week to inspire new material, we'll allot time after each lecture to work out and punch up what you've written during the week as well as different breakout activities to inspire new jokes. This class requires a commitment to writing every single day, whether you write just a couple lines or a couple pages, you must commit to writing every day.
