Spooky Folding Halloween Sea Monster

About this event

This program is intended for youth in grades 1st through 8th. Learn how to make a folding sea monster for Halloween! Participants will draw inspiration from Central American folklore—like the Ipupiara from 16th-century Tupi mythology in coastal Brazil. Participants will fold a large piece of paper, then use pencil and sharpie to draw monsters. Lastly, participants will add color using markers or colored pencils. Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations, as outlined on our library accessibility page. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate. This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund
