Friday 10/2 - Visit the Artists and enjoy First Friday all day! Then stick around for live music by Manteo Murphy! 4-7 PM: Splash First Friday Art Walk Free and open to the public; visitors are invited to visit all three of AOA’s buildings to browse art, meet artists, shop handcrafted goods, and see the finished product of SPLASH participants’ week of creation. Inside of AOA’s gallery, the exhibition “Between Here and There” by Dawn Kinney Martin and Kristin Thorsen will debut as the October feature. Some artisans will also extend onto the sidewalks around AOA’s main building, accompanying other downtown Art Walk participants. 7:30 PM: Manteo Murphy in Concert in the Maguire Theatre Celebrate the completion of another inspiring Splash week with a mainstage concert in the Maguire! Fan-favorite regional band Manteo Murphy brings a mixture of classic hits, original music, blues, Americana, and country rock to the stage.
