Special Storytime Performance of the Nutcracker: An Interactive Reading with Ballet of New York Arts Collective

Community Room. Join Ballet of New York Arts Collective for an interactive retelling of The Nutcracker. As the story is read aloud, professional dancers will bring it to life through classical ballet and traditional mime. Audiences will follow Clara's holiday party, the battle between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, the magical journey through the Land of Snow, and the enchanting Land of Sweets as dancers perform excerpts from the ballet alongside the narration. Children and families will learn how ballet dancers use movement, music, and mime to tell a story without words while experiencing one of the world's most beloved holiday traditions. The program concludes with a question-and-answer session, followed by an opportunity for children and families to meet the dancers, interact with their favorite Nutcracker characters, and take photographs with them.
