Special Edition Kids at the Castle: Dream of Owls

Join us for a special, puppet-filled edition of Kids at the Castle featuring Seth Eberle. Seth Eberle returns to ASI with Dream of Owls, an imaginative puppet performance that helps families explore fear, curiosity, and the power of learning. From the creative mind behind The Box King and With Stars Above, Seth brings his engaging storytelling and handcrafted puppetry to two special November mornings. In Dream of Owls, little Theo drifts off to sleep and becomes frightened by a mysterious hooting sound. With guidance from his father and a strangely familiar dream dragon, Theo learns to face his fears by discovering the source of the sound: an owl. Through creativity, curiosity, and knowledge, Theo discovers that understanding the unknown can transform fear into wonder. Families will enjoy a magical puppet experience featuring table-top, hand, and rod puppets as well as an imaginative dream world brought to life through changing sets and colorful transformations. Developed with professional naturalists and environmental educators from Silverwood Park and the Minnesota Zoo, Dream of Owls combines accurate science with engaging storytelling for family audiences. About Seth Eberle: Minneapolis-based puppet artist Seth Eberle creates contemporary puppet performances that inspire family audiences through storytelling, art, and exploration. Seth combines puppetry with environmental education as a teaching artist at Silverwood Park and through partnerships with local schools. His work has been supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board and recognized throughout the regional arts community. Additional information: This is a special edition of Kids at the Castle. The performance takes place in Larson Hall on the second floor of the Nelson Cultural Center. Doors open at 8:40 am for check-in and seating. The program begins promptly at 9 am.
