Speaker Series, “Stories of Lightships and Their Sailors” New Theatre Room, Lewes History Museum, 101 Adams Ave., Lewes, DE 19958 Discover the fascinating history of America’s lightships and the sailors who served aboard them. Historian John Bolster explores the many lightships that once marked the entrance to Delaware Bay, sharing stories of daily life, dangerous storms, and the men whose courage kept mariners safe. Bolster serves on the board of the Overfalls Foundation and is curator of the Overfalls Lightship Museum, offering a unique perspective on one of Lewes’ most treasured maritime landmarks.
