Join me, The Sourdough Lady, for a hands-on, beginner-friendly class in the cozy setting of Nine Mile Brewing in Bloomington MN. This cozy 2-hour workshop is the perfect introduction to the world of sourdough baking! Whether you’re brand new to sourdough or you’ve tried and struggled before, this class will demystify the process and give you the confidence to bake delicious, naturally fermented bread in your own kitchen. What we’ll cover: How sourdough works & why it’s different from commercial yeast How to feed, care for, and maintain your own sourdough starter Mixing dough, stretch & folds, and bulk fermentation Cold Fermentation, Baking & Storing sourdough bread Ingredients and recommended tools Tips & tricks for sourdough success and plenty of time for Q&A What to bring: One medium-large sized bowl (for mixing and taking your dough home) What you’ll take home: A jar of my 170-year-old San Francisco sourdough starter “Phoebe”, fed and active Your own dough, ready to finish fermenting, shape, and bake at home A printed recipe card and starter care guide A follow-up email with bonus sourdough recipes and tool links Ages: We love kids, and they are welcome in this class!
