Honoring Our Ancestors: A Sound Bath for Remembrance & Legacy- October’s sound bath draws inspiration from All Hallows Eve, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, a time of year to devoted to remembering and honoring our ancestors and guides. At The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum, this reflection takes on a particularly personal meaning as Rita is one of our ancestors. Surrounded by her art and the legacy she created, guests are invited to meditate on the people, traditions, stories, and creative legacies that shape who we are and continue through us. Together we’ll honor those who came before us—including Rita—while reflecting on what we inherit, what we choose to carry forward, and the legacy we each leave behind. We invite guests to bring a water bottle, a yoga mat and/or blanket as well as any pillows, blocks and bolster they may need to reach a comfortable and meditative plane. If you do not have your own yoga mat, we do have a limited number to borrow. Please note, no food or beverages (apart from water) are allowed in the museum galleries. We encourage you to enjoy the museum galleries and gardens at your own pace afterwards. Open to all ages 16+
