Registration Members: $10 Non-members: $15 Students: $5 History & Culture Conference Attendees: Included Julia Radosz, soprano Kristin Ditlow, piano Performing world premiere songs from Žijem v Tebe composed by Czech-American, Beth Ratay with poetry by Slovak-American, Eva Staronova. Included in this concert will be arias from Krútňava by Eugen Suchoň and Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák. We will conclude with a special arrangement of Suchon’s Aka si mi krasna arranged by Kristin Ditlow. Julia Radosz, soprano, grew up in Orlando and lives in Bratislava with her husband, Slovak conductor, Martin Mazik. Recent performances have included Anna Sorensen (Silent Night) Opera Orlando, Song recital at Bratislava Music Festival, Amelia (Un ballo in maschera) National Croatian Theater of Split, Marietta/Marie (Die tote Stadt) National Moravian-Silesian Theater, Musetta (La Boheme) in 36 performances throughout Spain/France, and Mimi (La Boheme) with First Coast Opera. Other roles include Madama Butterfly, Turandot, Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Donna Anna/ Elvira (Don Giovanni), Suor Angelica, Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Fiordiligi (Cosí fan tutte), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Governess (Turn of the Screw), and Susannah. Julia has sung with companies including Opera Naples, Maryland Opera, Gulfshore Opera, Annapolis Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, and Rhode Island Symphony. Radosz has won several awards, including: Grand Prize of the Jenny Lind Competition, Connecticut Opera Competition, Marcella Kochanska Sembrich Vocal Competition, Grant Winner from The CareerBridges Foundation, 2nd Place in Kosciuszko Foundation’s Marcella Sembrich Vocal Competition. Upcoming performances include Haydn’s Creation (Gabriel/Eva) with Sofia Philharmonic. Radosz is pursuing her Doctoral Studies at the Akademie of Music in Banska Bystrica.
