With a slow burning mix of keys, voice and acoustic guitar, Jess Thayer has been smiled upon by fate and played years with her dad’s blues duo and Milwaukee rock and folk staples. Her time with Blonde on Blonde, Litmus Vinyl and Heidi Spencer and the Rare Birds has not only taken her across the Atlantic, but to that beautiful place where jams, lyrics and connection live in abundance. Longtime frontwoman of Milwaukee band The Fainting Room, Lisa Ridgely is at home with an acoustic guitar and a microphone. Her original songwriting’s femme-forward style is rooted in the singer-songwriter tradition and influenced by her Midwestern upbringing, hormones, ‘80s pop, ‘90s alternative, and modern indie & Americana. Scott Hanson writes from the heart, performs from the soul. Since the early 2000s, this Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter’s songs come to life with an aim to connect to you, the listener, in some way, tangential or profound.
