Do you have a sharp suit or a gorgeous dress gathering dust in your closet? A vintage tiara with nowhere to go? A feather boa, a pair of snazzy velvet slacks and dapper blazer, or a fancy gown that feels "too much" for a standard grocery run but deserves to see the light once more? Your time has come. The Society for Aesthetic Loitering is looking for founding members. Our mission is beautifully simple, delightfully absurd, and aggressively low-effort: Dress up in your absolute finest, most fanciful, or elegantly overdressed clothing. Show up at a scenic local spot. Loiter. We will take a leisurely, 30-minute promenade through a local park once a month. No running. No networking. No agenda. Just fancy clothes at a very slow speed. We will walk, we will wave, we will look spectacular, and then we will go home. All styles of "fancy" are welcome—from classic black-tie and vintage thrift-store glamour to sharp cocktail attire and tailored formal wear. If it feels fancy, it fits.
