Social Chess Club Meetup

Drop by the Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe on Saturday, April 11th, and get strategic with our monthly Social Chess Club. Social Chess Club meets every second Saturday of the month from 8 AM to Noon at the Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe. Players are welcome to come and go as their schedule allows during this time. You do not need to join for the full time. We have chessboards and clocks available, or feel free to bring your own. This is a for-fun social club designed to build a community of chess players, both new to the game and long-time players. This is not organized tournament play. We encourage attendees to engage in friendly competition, introduce new players to the game, and help spread the love of chess. Food and beverages – including our breakfast and lunch menus, cafe menu, and drinks menu – will be available for ordering throughout. So come hungry, thirsty, and ready to play. Registration is not required, and players can come and go as they please. This is a free-to-attend event. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in the fun. Please note that this is a loosely structured event hosted at and by the Rook Room. There is no dedicated staff member available to help learn and play. We encourage attendees to support each other in learning and playing the game!
