Join us for a Group Snake River float (\~7 miles) that the locals love and optional late lunch at Ynot Winery afterward. Our first stop in King Hill to drop off boats is \~ 1 hour drive from Boise. We then drive downriver to Glenns Ferry (7.6 miles along Old Hwy 30 or a 15-minute drive) to leave the vehicles and shuttle back to put-in. Put-In: Frank C Jones Access Area Boat Dock, King Hill, includes vault toilet, Interstate 84, Exit 125 and Left on West Grave Road Take-out: Eddie Bostic Recreational Area aka Glenns Ferry Boat Dock with restrooms, picnic area, 92 Cunningham Rd, Glenns Ferry; *How to Find:* After the I-84 overhead bridge, stay river right. Note the water tower high above on left side of river as your marker. Insight from a local: Quiet, wide river with BLM protected scenery; alcohol OK; Shallow with slight current; 2.5 hours with no stopping, but more like \~3.5 hours to explore the islands. River Ranch Retreat (1/4 way downriver on the right) has a dock. First 3 islands on the right are best, then check out islands on the left. Type of Boats: SUPs OK. Beginners OK. Slight current in middle. Some shallow areas, clay pits, moss pits. No rapids. Some swirly pockets/undertows that you can see from your boat, so stay centered. More info on Ynot Winery, Restaurant, Golf Course Lots of seats in the tavern to get out of the sun or we can sit in the back alcove overlooking the 3rd hole or on the patio.
