Slay of the Dead Vol. III: Burlesque Show

About this event

Welcome to TSL After Dark. The books are still on the shelves. The bar is open. But The Secret Lantern gets a liiiiittle different after dark. For our very first TSL After Dark, we’re teaming up with Cedar Park Pride for Slay of the Dead Vol. III, a night of costumes, performances, queer joy, and a stage that gets a little more daring as the evening goes on. The dead are back, and they’re ready to SLAY. We’re kicking off the evening from 6–9 PM with Queeraoke, our monthly open mic where the stage belongs to you. Sing karaoke, lip sync for your life, play some music, read poetry, show off a talent, or just grab a drink and cheer everyone on. Costumes are absolutely encouraged. Then at 9:30 PM, we turn down the lights and turn up the heat for an 18+ burlesque show featuring performers ready to close out the night in spectacular fashion. Come for Queeraoke, stay for burlesque, or join us for the whole night. Friday, October 30 6–9 PM | Queeraoke Monthly Open Mic 9:30–11 PM | Burlesque Show (18+) Drinks and food will be available throughout the evening. Presented by Cedar Park Pride x The Secret Lantern Books & Games. Register here: https://events.thesecretlantern.com/event/775d3622-e120-4590-aa27-595c1fb51051
