This iconic Austin institution was featured heavily in Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 cult thriller *Death Proof* (part of the double feature *Grindhouse*). It’s the very dive bar where Stuntman Mike buys a round of Virgin Piña Colada, and where the film’s tense, dialogue-driven drama unfolds. ### 🎥 The Movie Locations Series This event kicks off our brand-new **Austin Cinematic Sketching Series**! We’re pairing our love for creative practice with Austin's rich film history, exploring iconic movie shooting locations, historic hangouts, and unique indoor spots across the city. **We welcome everyone to propose places for our next stop!** Have a favorite film set or cozy local haunt in mind?
