Sketchbook Workshop

Discover the art of traditional bookmaking by learning the fundamentals of stitching and binding to create hand-crafted books. Instruction will cover different binding techniques, as well as how to design and assemble a cover. Gain hands-on experience in each step of the process, from folding paper to finishing a custom book. You will leave with a completed handcrafted book, perfect for journaling, sketching, or a unique handmade gift! The Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. The Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. Reduced tuition is automatically applied to all classes through 2026. Artwork by Lily Warren.
