Single-Page Book Extravaganza

Tuesday, January 5; 5–8pm CT Single-page books or flutter-fold books, as they are affectionately called, are extremely versatile for making small books, zines, short greetings, or an interesting format for a letter. These book structures–created by folding paper, cutting and then folding again–allow you to explore simple elements of origami combined with principles of bookbinding. These small wonders can be used as one-offs or combined in multiples to create book structures that twist, turn, and expand on the already interesting structures of single-page books. In this single-session virtual workshop, learn how to fold a series of at least ten single-page book models, as well as other folded structures (if time allows) that can be incorporated or used independently in future binding and art projects. Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome. Certificate: 3 hours, Category A Pricing $90 | $45 Scholarship | $135 Pay-It-Forward Scholarships are available for individuals facing adversity as it relates to identity, income/wealth, and lack of access to arts resources.
