Simpson Park Levee Trail Loop ~ 4 miles

Let's walk at Simpson Park! **Meet** at the main parking lot by the lake at 6:00, trail time is 6:05. **Bring** water, bug repellent in season, possibly a protein bar or snack, wear sturdy tennis shoes or hiking shoes. **Distance/Pace:** This is a flat paved trail other than two small hills going up/down from the levee, about 4 miles total. **My average pace is about 3 MPH**. We'll stop and regroup as needed to keep the group together. This takes about 1.5 hours to complete. **Route**: We'll likely walk River Trail to the levee trail, then down the road to the Blue Heron trail, which leads back. We may walk in reverse or skip the levee if it's too hot out. THIS HIKE WILL BE CANCELED IF WE HAVE BAD WEATHER.
