His most recent album, Acoustic Pastime, features solo guitararrangements of Brians compositions and Thelonious Monk tunes. Jazz pianist TomVaitsas is a first-call veteran of the Chicago music scene. A former sideman forlegendary jazz saxophonist Von Freeman, he has toured worldwide with blues legendsLurie and Carrie Bell, and performed with jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, guitaristFareed Haque, and many others.
