Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10am, Saturday morning! Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - Social Half-Hour: Come in, get comfortable, and chat with us! 10:30-10:45 - Quick Introductions: Let the group know who you are and what you're working on 10:45-11:45 - Timer Start: Write for an hour 11:45 - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens before and after each session. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with an organizer after the session (we try to identify ourselves at the end) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. There are not many electric outlets, so do come with pre-charged laptops. Other Important Details: Best Café has WiFi. TRAVEL / PARKING: Street parking is available, as is garage parking for $6 for non-members. SEATING INFORMATION: You could sit indoors or outdoors.
