Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s helpful and more fun to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10am-12:00pm on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, song, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - Introduce new members, talk about writing 10:30 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour and 15 min 11:45 - Share what you wrote if you like/discussion on creative topics The meetup gives writers opportunity to talk with other writers, and talk about their work. Writing is solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers can be a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up, find a seat and start writing. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the latecomer. What to bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if they help you focus on writing. Tables have accessible electrical and USB sockets to charge your device but best to come with pre-charged laptops or tablets. Paper and pens also work great. Barnes & Noble has free WiFi, a Starbucks, and thousands of new and in-print books including references and bestsellers! Plenty of parking. Opens at 10 am. Happy writing!
