Shut Up & Write!® in Ballard and Wallingford

Hello! This is intended to be a judgment free zone in pursuit of simply writing for writing sake with community. We do not peer review, critique works, or read each other's materials. The goal is to be productive, creative, and to optionally connect with others. Ideal for body doubling a project, book, poem, dissertation, journaling, homework assignment--whatever it may be. All writing experiences are welcome! No one will see what you've written or give unsolicited advice. This group meets Mondays 10:30a - 12:00p and switches between two locations. **For the VICTROLA location we usually meet in the community room which is to the right as you enter.** When you see the table with the Shut Up & Write! sign you've come to the right place. Feel free to settle in and cozy up! What to bring: Anything that you will use to write and help you write such as headphones, earplugs, water bottle, etc. What to expect: *You are welcome to show up earlier to grab a drink/food and settle in* 10:30a - Meet+Greet. Sharing writing goals (optional). 10:45a - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 11:45a - End. Recap. Share (optional). Optional socializing afterwards. No harm if you arrive late!
