We'll discuss one short story per month - a mix of genres, brand new stories, award winners and classics. Pick up your copy of each month's story at the Sunrise Reference Desk to read before we meet. In recognition of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, the story for June is Roy by Emma Binder, winner of the 2024 O. Henry Prize. Our story for July is The Appropriation of Cultures by Percival Everett, winner of the 1997 Pushcart Prize. The August story is Jane Yolen's Nebula Prize winner The Lost Girls. The story for September is Annunciation by Lauren Groff. Find it in her 2026 short short collection Brawler In recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the October story is Lacrimosa by Silvia Moreno Garcia. No registration necessary.
