Sherman Oaks: Working Walk

This working walk is open to all levels and remember LARPBO embraces ALL BREEDS! Instead of the usual classes, we are doing a working walk through VNSO Park! Come join us as we move through the park and its different distractions while doing exercises along the way. We will be meeting at the area that classes are held, but not staying in the area, so we recommend bringing a backpack to hold your valuables, water and your dog's water bowl. This way your hands will be free to manage your leash and getting treats to reward your dog. This is a group-oriented walk that focuses on beginner to intermediate skills, including how to manage aggressive and selective behaviors. Rain or shine, class will take place. Dress appropriately if rain is expected. However, if a major storm is forecasted or training area is deemed unsafe, we will cancel the class (and reschedule it for the next Saturday). Check Meetup schedule 6pm the night before the class. The Meetup schedule will always be accurate. 1. Class is limited to 30 handler/dog teams. Absolutely NO walk-ins allowed. RSVP and PRE-PAYMENT is required to hold a spot. *No refunds (or re-scheduling) will be made for missed classes or cancellation; register only if you will attend. Friends or family members accompanying the participant must keep a minimum 20-foot distance from the class area.
