The night before the ceremony a leaked audio recording of Rachel's drunken problematic tirade goes VIRAL, setting her perfect world up in flames. At the same time, Tim Harper, an out of work filmmaker, loses all hope after he yet again ruins his chance at his big break. After a chance meeting, Tim accepts a job as Rachel's personal assistant and the two begin to realize that maybe everything truly does happen for a reason.
