Shakespeare’s “Midsummer: A Gaye Olde Tyme – Almost a Musical!” | Strange Birds in Scranton Friday, October 2 & Monday, October 5, 2026 | 6 PM Shakespeare’s “Midsummer: A Gaye Olde Tyme – Almost a Musical!” comes to Strange Birds in Scranton, PA, on Friday, October 2, and Monday, October 5, at 6 PM as part of the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. This audience-interactive improv comedy brings a Renaissance Faire-inspired take on Shakespeare to the stage. Designed for all ages, the show aims to make Shakespeare accessible and entertaining regardless of an audience member’s familiarity with his work. The production comes from Shakespeare Approves!, a multi-award-winning one-person show that has toured for 20 years. Audience members become part of the performance, taking on roles as characters, set pieces and even props. Tickets are $15. Shakespeare’s “Midsummer: A Gaye Olde Tyme – Almost a Musical!” brings interactive, all-ages Shakespeare comedy to Scranton.
