About this event

For sewists ages 8-14 and their parent/guardian (required). Want to learn some machine-sewing basics? In this class, you'll get an overview of the Library's sewing studio, plus an intro to our Janome sewing machines. Learn how to wind the bobbin, thread the machine, select the right stitch(es) for your project, take care of your sewing area, and more. Sewists will leave with a bookmark or two! Please note: This class is for both tweens/teens AND their parent/guardian, who will learn alongside their young sewists. Parents/guardians, please plan to stay (and sit with) your sewist for the entirety of this session. For tween/teen sewists only. No supplies required. With instructor Janee Probst.
