About this event
Wednesdays, December 2 - 16, 2026 | 5:30 - 8:30P | 3 sessions | $100 Join us as we make the Miller Vest by Merchant and Mills! We'll kick things off with a session on size selection, pattern overview, tracing, and cutting out our patterns. We will then meet weekly to work through the project, learn construction techniques with expert guidance, and support one another along the way. We will conclude with a final celebration night out with our finished garments! We expect this to be a joyful way to learn new sewing skills, share your love of craft with others, and, of course, end up with a great new wardrobe staple! Perfect for adventurous beginners and seasoned sewists alike! Supplies: Printed paper pattern included with registration. Fabric, matching thread, interfacing, and hardware sold separately. Bring your sewing machine (plus its feet and manual) or use one of the studio's sewing machines. Suggested fabrics: 5-8oz linen, 5-10oz denim, light - medium weight corduroy, wool, wool blends, cotton canvas or twill. For the lining: lightweight wovens such as calico, cotton lawn, cotton, cotton blends, Tencel/linen (when choosing your cloth consider that the lining fabric may be visible). Open Studio: Registration includes access to Work-in-Progress Wednesday throughout the course and for 2 weeks afterward, so you can finish your projects. Teaching Artist: Mary Worrell, Amy Somerstein Register
